Amaravati: AP Chief Minister Chandrababu said that 'job creation is the first objective' of the government. The officials were directed to formulate policies to pave the way for speed of doing business. Chandrababu conducted a review with the officials at the Secretariat on industrial development, MSME and food processing draft policies. He said that the government is making efforts to bring in huge investments with the new policy.
Chandrababu said that the government is initiating new policies in 7-8 departments with comprehensive changes. Officials have done a comprehensive exercise for 3 months on the new policies. Various draft policies have been prepared based on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the opinions of industry groups and the policies of other states. The Chief Minister, who shared his experiences and ideas in every policy making, directed that the industrial policy of AP should be the best compared to any other state.
Chandrababu said that the new industrial development policy, MSME and food processing policies will be discussed in the next cabinet meeting. Proposals have been made in the draft policy to provide additional incentives to investors as soon as the policies come into force. There will be an industrial policy to give an additional 10 percent incentive to companies that provide more jobs. Chandrababu said that there should be an MSME policy with the concept of 'One family.. One entrepreneur'. It has been decided to bring a special hub for the development of the industrial sector named Ratan Tata Innovation Hub. Ratan Tata Innovation Hub will be set up in Amaravati as a center for skill development, innovation, startups and facilitation.
Subsidiary centers to the hub will be set up in 5 regions of the state. Proposals have been prepared for each center to be mentored by a multinational company. As in aqua and poultry sector, they discussed the necessary procedures to get the best results in food processing as well. Proposals have been prepared to give an additional 5 percent incentive to BC, SC, ST and women entrepreneurs in the field of MSME and food processing. Private Industrial Parks Policy was also discussed. This policy will come before the cabinet after further exercise.
